This genealogical record was created by members of the Hegeman and Lefferts families to chronicle the births, marriages, and deaths of kin. The document was pressed into a Dutch bible printed by Hendrick and Jacob Keur. The bible was most likely brought into the Lefferts household by Femmetie Hegeman when she married Peter Lefferts in 1784. The rites of passage listed in this document took place between 1727 and 1847. Among the deaths recorded is that of Femmetie Hegeman Lefferts in 1847.
