In this document, Sarah Remsen Ditmars renounced claims on the estate of her late husband, Abraham Voorhees. She did so after her remarriage to Douwe Ditmars of Jamaica, Queens County. Sarah died during the Revolutionary War. In 1783, Douwe, a Loyalist, moved to Nova Scotia.
